Adnan Akmal was called in replacement of Zulqernain to National Pakistan Cricket Team to join the test squad against South Africa along with Muhammad Hafeez and Younas Khan because of their good performance in ODI. Initially Muhammad Hafeez and Younas Khan was not the part of team announced for the 2 Test Matches against South Africa.
Adnan Akmal was in Rawalpindi for the match of Quaid-e-Azam trophy with his team "Sui Gas" when he was asked to reach at Lahore for the completion of his papers to travel. Adnan Akmal is a brother of Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal.
It is also in news that Kamran Akmal is also fit but he is not asked to join the team as his name is in the match fixing issue. ICC is not happy to keep players in the team which directly, indirectly or whose names are in this scandal in any way. This policy is damaging Pakistan Cricket, as Pakistan had already lost his 3 major players Salman Butt, Muhammad Aamir, Muhammad Asif. After that Kaneria and Kamran Akmal also droped out from team due to some precautions. On the other hand ICC did not investigate the matter related to Suresh Riana (Indian Cricketer). Is this not a dual policy?
