Pakistan won the match against Sri-Lanka today in the World Cup 2011. Excellent cricket from both of sides. Result is in the favor of Pakistan. In batting Pakistan made 277/7 in 50 overs. Some good performance again from senior batsman Younas Khan and Misbah ul Haq. They made 72 and 83* respectively. Misbah ul Haq and Shahid Afridi were the not out batsmen. Kamran Akmal made39 runs. Batting was good but Pakistan short of 30-35 runs in his inning. Where were the lack?
Pakistan lacked in his power play 3. Omar Akmal, Shahid Afridi and Misbah ul Haq could not take advantage of that power play. Credit goes to Sri-Lanka bowling which kept their nerves till the end.
In bowling, Pakistan was enough good but again fielding was totally sub-standard. Pakistan lost almost 5 sure chances including stumping and catches. If these chances were taken fully, then Pakistan may won the match by huge margin. Can you imagine to give 2 chances to Sangakara (top batsman of Sri-Lanka)?
Pakistan team and coaching staff should sets some standard in the fielding. Kamran Akmal again in wicket keeping lost his form and i am putting a question mark on him.
Bowlers of Pakistan specially Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi were excellent and due the bowling of these two bowlers Pakistan got this victory in the end.
Sri-Lanka could only make 266/9 runs. Sangakara and Silva were the top scorer for the team.
This is the first step for the Pakistan, in the World Cup and Pakistan should think about his next by keeping the eye on semi finals.
India, Australia, Sri-Lanka, England and South Africa will be the toughest competitor in the tournament. Check their fielding standards. Pakistan was not up to the mark.
Any how Pakistan got another victory in the route of cup. Congratulation, but still team Pakistan you have to go more strongly in the next up coming matches

Pakistan Won 1st Match in World Cup 2011
Pakistan performed excellent in his first match against Kenya. Pakistan never lost the match. In batting first, Pakistan lost their openers quickly but after that Kamran Akmal, Younas Khan, Misbah ul Haq and Omar Akmal played exceptionally well and made fifties. Omar Akmal was not good at his start but after getting his form he made quick 71 runs. Pakistan posted 317 runs on the board.
This score was enough good for Kenya, they tried initial from bowling of Shoaib Akhtar and Abdul Razzaq. After that Shahid Afridi and Omar Gull took 7 wickets collectively. Shahid Afridi with 5 wickets in 8 overs with 16 runs was best bowler in the inning. Kenya was wrapped up in 112 runs in 33.1 overs.
Over all performance of the team was very satisfactory. Next match will be with Sri-Lanka which will be a very important match for both of teams. Sri-Lanka is in good form and Pakistan today showed their aggression too. Fans of cricket will definitely find a great match between these two side. Pakistan must keep nerves specially openers must perform well in that match along with bowling attack of Pakistan. Fielding standard must be high for the next matches.

Salman Butt will participate in a show on a Pakistani TV in "Channel 5".
This show is about the World Cup 2011 and Salman Butt will give his expert opinion in this show for the matches of World Cup 2011. Pakistan Lost 2nd Warm Up
Pakistan lost its 2nd warm up match before World Cup 2011 against England. England made 273 runs. Kevin Peterson and Colling Wood made half centuries. Wahab Riaz and Junaid Khan shared 3 wicket each. In reply Pakistan could only made 206 runs and lost the match by 67 runs. Most important thing is the 80 runs inning of out of Younas Khan which was much expected by him before the start of World Cup. I hope Pakistan made his playing side by these two warm ups. Now Pakistan will face Kenya on 23rd Feb in its 1st World Cup Match.

Pakistan Got the Elevation
In the first warm match before the World Cup 2011, Pakistan registered a victory against Bangladesh by a huge margin of 89 rungs. Great start by Pakistan team. In batting Misbal ul Haq along with Ahmad Shahzad build a solid foundation by making centuries. Shahid Afridi and Omar Akmal added some runs to the total and Pakistan putt 285/9 on the board. Bangladesh lost their first wicket on 1, after that Junaid and Imrul build a partnership of 70. Abdul Razzaq got 3 wicket in his second spell and made difficult for Bangladesh to reach the target. Abdul Rehman and Muhammad Hafeez took 2 wickets each. Wahab Riaz and Afridi got 1 wicket each. Bangladesh could only make 196 runs in 41.4 over.
Pakistan got a good start and now its time to keep this spirit up.
There is one more thing to say to my visitors, that Pakistan is playing his 2 warm up matches in Bangladesh but most of matches of Pakistan will be in Sri-Lanka under different climate and conditions. That is a very big point. I think Pakistan team management should take some proper adjustment for the players to take full advantage of the conditions.

ICC Released Hearing/Ruling of Spot Fixing Case
ICC just released final decision of Independent Tribunal on his website, But this decision is not accessible in England and this is also in encrypted and read only format as ICC thinks that it might be very important or may put some influence on the criminal case in England. This decision is also available for a short period of time. I am also not giving the web address of this decision as per legal obligations, but you may search for that on ICC official website for that link.
According to it that Mr. Salman Butt and Muhammad Asif did contact to Mazhar Majeed after the scandal and that was proved with the help of their mobile phones.More evidences were also there on the website, but you have to accept the terms and conditions of that website to view that page.
