Salman Butt and Muhammad Aamir remain banned

After hearing the appeal on Saturday and Sunday by Mr. Micheal Belof (ICC Code of Conduct Commissioner) announced that Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir will remain suspended until their case is reviewed by an independent anti-corruption tribunal. According to Mr. Khalid Ranjha (Lawyer of Salman Butt) This tribunal will formed with in 40 days after suspensions of Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir i.e., 2nd September 2010, but ICC's officials did'nt announce any time frame.
The hearing was fair but the decision left us unhappy and now we have some time to defend the disciplinary case and we will decide our course of action, added by Salman Butt's Lawyer.

Hearing on Ban of Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir

Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir arrived at Dubai on Friday with their lawyers for the hearing on their ban in front of Mr. Micheal (President or ICC Code of Conduct Commission). Mr. Micheal will hear on Saturday and Sunday on their appeals against ban. Muhammad Asif withdraw his appeal by saying that he and his lawyer need more time to prepare the case. Salman Butt and Aamir challenged their ban and asked ICC to allow them to play for their country. ICC's official spokesman said this hearing will only decide whether Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir can play International cricket for their country or not. The case against them in England will not affected by this hearing. Khalid Ranjha, Aftab Gull and Shahid Karim are the lawyers of Salman and Aamir, they said ICC have not any solid proofs against their clients. ICC have only media reports on which ICC banned on these player. They were quite positive that they will successfully defend their case.

Pakistan Lost 1st ODI

As all of you knew very well that Pakistan have lost their 1st ODI against Sounth Africa. The reason of this defeat was once again the flop batting. I will not give you again the figures and scorecard of that match. Pakistan batting line was pretty much uncertain in any situation. It can achieve a very good target and on the other side it can collapse in just 10 overs. As it was happened last day at Abu-Zahbi. At one time Pakistan was on 140/1 and it finished its inning after adding just 68 runs. 114 runs was the highest partnership in 2010 between Hafeez and Younas. In the selection i am not persoanlly satisfied with Fawad and Zulqernain. These players might be useful in Test Cricket but ODI and T20's are not of their types. Pakistan tour selection committee is also not using Asad Shafique very well and they are exploiting and gambling with the carrier of amazingly talented young cricketer by continuously changing his batting order. In 1st ODI of his carrier he was at 4th down. After 2 matches he was chosen as 1st down. Now yesterday he was sent to open an inning, which is quite disgusting. Although he is a good player and played some solid shots but i think he will be more useful at Misbah-ul Haq's number. Tour selection committee can take a risk by putting Misbah-ul Haq as an opener with a smash hitter Muhammad Hafeez. Omar Akmal must be in playing eleven and Zulqernain should be replaced by Sarfaraz Ahmad in ODI's.
Beside all of these changes Pakistan batsmen should take responsibilities and must have discipline and patience in their inning. According to me, Misbah and Hafiz open the innings, Ist down Younas Khan is excellent choice and on 2nd down Asad Shafique is really useful. These four players must play responsible cricket and take Pakistan into 35th overs. After that pakistan have great hitters Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razaq which can easily provide Pakistan 150 runs in 15 overs and a batting power-paly.

Pakistan Lost T20 Series against South Africa

I don’t know what to share, all of you know that Pakistan Cricket’s batting stars once again showed irresponsibility. None of them waited there for the right time or right bowl. They throw their own wickets thus Pakistan lost the match.

On the very next day in 2^nd T20, one more time batsmen didn’t realize their responsibilities and there was no one who stayed at the pitch and went for the South Africa’s lose bowls. In result Pakistan Lost the series.

We must admit that South Africans players specially bowlers played according to their game plan and out classed Pakistan Cricket Team in all departments. I will not mention what were the facts and figure in these two matches as you have read all the stories.

I just want to ask what is going on in Pakistan camp, what is wrong? Where is the problem?

I have read many news papers, all are full of criticism on Pakistan batting.

It is a main factor that Pakistan batting is really hopeless since Australia tour but can you give any idea why is that so? Why Pakistan players not able to play against quality bowlers? Are they not well trained? Are they not talented? What is the main reason for collapsing this long batting line?

According to me, they are talented, well trained and also able to play quality innings but all of them are lack of one main thing i.e., discipline.

Why Pakistan is not a discipline side?

In fact all of Pakistan players came into National team after spending a very short period in Domestic cricket. They are naturally well talented but they are not trained and educated. They played couple of domestic seasons and selected in National team. Now they have money, entertainment, world tours and lot of fans. These things fascinated them a lot and affected their selves. They were not proper educated which can keep them away from the evils of this cricket world. They are not professionals as they didn’t spend much time in the domestic cricket. That is why they involve in scandals most of time which affect overall team performance.

It is the responsibility of the Pakistan Cricket Board to make such implementation that these boys could not be spoil and involve in anti cricket activities. Unfortunately our cricket board bends down their knees in front of players and give them chance over chances. This makes them proud and indiscipline. On the other side selectors often select a player when he played a single good domestic season. He has not much experience of good cricket that is why when he face world class bowling he showed his inexperience and lack of professionalism which cost Pakistan National Team badly.

But in spite of this I am really a fan of Pakistan Cricket Team and I know you are too. So lets hope for the better results in future.

In the last I have news that PCB is agreed upon appointing a batting coach for Pakistan National Team. Who will be that man? Zaheer Abbas is one of them. I think he will be more useful for our batting side other than any.

New Code of Conduct for Pakistan Cricket Team

A new code of conduct is signed by all current Pakistan National Cricket Team for the series against South Africa. This new code of conduct is issued by PCB after the warning of ICC.

PCB also gave briefing on this code to players before leaving, according to which no player including Captain is allowed to talk to any media person without the official of Pakistan Team. No team member is allowed to meet any person in hotel or any where. No mobile phones during matches and no calls to or from the strangers. Players are only allowed to talk on phone with the family back at Pakistan. Laptop is banned also. If any player is found with a laptop or a phone call to any stranger he will have to face the music. All the players are tightly covered by ICC Anti Corruption Unit’s members along with “under cover” officials. The rooms and floors of Hotel of the team will strictly watched by increased numbers of security cameras. No player is allowed to meet anyone in the hotel or in the lobby. Non team members will keep away from team’s room. If any player received suspicious call or anyone try to approach him he must inform immediately to the team officials.

Anti Corruption Unit of ICC also gave instructions and lectures to the Pakistan Cricket Team on Sunday on Doping and Anti Corruption. Fast Bowler Wahab Riaz is on the hit list of ACU as he was the 4^th suspect in the England tour’s match fixing scandal.

In the latest ranking of ODI and Test teams, Pakistan is on 6^th spot in both format of cricket with 2176 and 1918 point respectively. In test ranking India is at top with 4433 points, South Africa is 2^nd with 3463 points and Sri Lanka is at 3^rd with 2635 points.

In ODI Australia is a top team with 4294 points, India is on 2^nd place with 3993 and South Africa is on 3^rd with 2326 points.

None of Pakistan player in latest ranking of ODI is listed in top 10. In Test ranking Muhammad Asif is on 3^rd and Muhammad Aamir is on 10^th spot. But unfortunately both players are facing ban and are out of Pakistan Cricket team.

Pakistan South Africa Cricket Series 2010

Pakistan team arrived at Dubai for the series against South Africa in this morning. In this series Pakistan have to play two T20 Internationals, 5 One Day Internationals and two Tests matches. Shahid Afridi will lead Pakistan in T20 & One Day Series and Misbah ul Haq will be the Test Captain for Pakistan. Botha will be the skipper of South Africa in T20 and in One Day and Test series Gremme Smith will take charge. This series will play in Dubai and Abu Zahbi and this will be the home series for Pakistan as South Africa is not ready to come in Pakistan for cricket for security reasons.

Pakistan team will try to forget the bad memories of England tour and all the players in current team have signed new code of conduct, which was criticized by many former Pakistan cricketers. According to new code of conduct in the UAE tour players can not use laptops or mobile phone, or can not speak to a media person or any unrelated person without permission. No relaxation will be given to any player in his any negative activity and he will be send back to home immediately. Pakistan team is playing under pressure for rebuilding its repute as a team in both ways i.e., on the field or off the field.

• Younas Khan took U turn and said I am available for all format of cricket including T20. Remember he got retirement from T20 matches after the successful T20 ICC World Cup 2009.
• Younas Khan also said that there are not dignity issues between him and PCB or Ijaz Butt Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board. There were only misunderstandings and all are cleared now.
• PCB gave 5 Lac Rupees and souvenir to Aleem Darr on his second Best Empire of the Year award. Aleem Darr thanked Allah and PCB for the support which is provided.

Interesting News About Saeed Ajmal

“A new ball will introduce before World Cup 2010” Saeed Ajmal

This new type of ball will be difficult for the batsmen and will take most wickets in series against South Africa, also added by Saeed Ajmal.

He was interviewing by a newspaper and he said that he is working hard to practice that ball so that he can deliver this ball perfectly. He said that he is fan of Sqlain Mushtaq and considered him the good bowler than Murli Dharan. He said that he take guidelines from Murli and Mushtaq when he needed. Sqlain Mushtaq is the founder of “Dosra”. He wished that he could take Pakistan Cricket Team to Victory with his performance in Series against South Africa. He will target Jack Kallis with his bowling. Saeed Ajmal played 8 Test with 30 wickets, 32 One Day International with 42 wicket and 24 International T20 matches with 36 wickets.

ICC Issued warning to PCB

If any one of banned cricketer is found practicing in official grounds of Pakistan then PCB have to pay a huge fine. After this warning PCB stopped Salman Butt, Muhammad Aamir and Muhammad Asif to practice in National Cricket Academy Lahore and Qadafi Stadium Lahore. These cricketers were enjoying full benefits of practicing facilities after the ban. ICC also asked to keep these cricketers away from other national cricketers. According to PCB the guidelines set by ICC is strictly following and implementation are trying to emboss on players. Also there is an update in the Code of Conduct for players.

It is also in news that Anti Corruption Unit of ICC will strictly follow the Pakistan Cricket Team and the number of security cameras on the floor of Pakistan Cricket Team’s Hotel will also increase to keep check on players. PCB will not complain any of these actions of ICC.

Good news for the fans of Younas Khan

At last Younas Khan is cleared by Mr. Ijaz Butt from all the allegations. Younas Khan is the only player who refuses to say sorry for what he did not do. Now selection committee had selected him in the team for the series against South Africa in replacement of Muhammad Yousaf. This was announced by Intakhab Aalam as a new team manager of Pakistan Cricket Team for the home series against South Africa.

Another Setback for Pakistan Cricket Team

MRI of Muhammad Yousaf confirmed the serious injury and he is out of the One Day and T20 squads of Pakistan cricket team against South Africa for 5 International One Day matches and 2 International T20 matches. He is advised to stop cricket and to take rest for a couple of weeks. According to the new team manager Intakhab Aalam he may be available for Test Series against South Africa. One Day series is going to start on 26^th of October 2010.It is a shocking news for the fans of Pakistan cricket as he is the most senior batsman available in Pakistan team and his team mates can take some useful tips and of course moral support with the experience of Muhammad Yousaf. He played 90 Tests, 287 One Day International and 3 T20 matches from Pakistan. It is a big disaster after the suspension of Salman Butt, Muhammad Amir and Muhammad Asif.

Revival of International Cricket in Pakistan and successful Domestic T-20 Tournament

After the famous attack on Sri Lankan Cricket team in March 2009, the doors of international cricket in Pakistan remain closed and since then cricket fans have been eagerly waiting for the sport to return to the country.

After the successful T-20 Domestic tournament in Qadafi Stadium Lahore, once again this matter comes to fans mind and they want revival of International cricket in Pakistan.

First of all let’s talk about the Faisal Bank National T-20 Cricket Tournament. Thousand of spectators daily visited to Qadafi Stadium Lahore for the live action of their national heroes and cricket. Interesting, sensational and nerves breaking matches not only gave smile but also provided entertainment to the real fans of cricket. The excitement was on top. Cricket is most popular sport in Pakistan although Hockey is our national sport and its popularity is not affected by Match Fixing Scandal or the criticism on Pakistan Cricket Board. The true example of the above statement was the record presence of cricket fans in stadium at Lahore. Final was between Karachi and Lahore, and may be it was so that thousand of fans came there to support their home team Lahore. But it is a fact that during the seven days of tournament a huge number of spectators daily visited stadium which shows the passion for the cricket among Pakistanis. They love cricket and they want to enjoy it in any way. Any how that tournament was excellent in which first time ever the home team got the title.

Lahore Lions picked the trophy, while Karachi dolphins were the runner-up. Record number of people were also present outside the cricket stadium who could not watch the live action due the house full inside. Sialkot which was the 5 time champion was unable to play even semi-final of the tournament. Another good team of Faisalabad was also not in semi-s. Shoaib Akhtar’s Islamabad and Rawalpindi were other two teams who qualified for the semi-finals.

In Final, Lahore won the toss and decided to bat first which was a really good decision and Lion was posted 221 run for 3 on the board. Opener Nasir Jamshaid scored 68, Ahmad Shahzad 43 along the best ever inning of Abdul Razaq of 71 not out. Shahid Afridi and Azam Hussain of Karachi got 1 wicket each. In reply Karachi made 184 all out. Shahid Afridi 48, Shahzeb Hassan 33 and Fawad Aalam 22 were the top scorers. Wahab Riaz got 3, Shabbir Ahmad & Aziz shared 2, 2 wickets. Karachi Dolphins was second time runner up.

Shahzeb Hassan was announced best batsman, Muhammad Yousaf best fielder, Wahab Riaz best bowler (10 wickets) and Adnan Akmal was announced best wicket keeper of the tournament.

The people of Pakistan and Pakistan Cricket Board gave a strong message to the cricket world that we can give the jam packed cricket stadium when the international cricket teams come to Pakistan and we want revival of International Cricket in Pakistan. Pakistan and Pakistani people are ready to host any cricket nation and they hope that International Cricket Council will take positive step to start cricket in Pakistani’s grounds.
